my trusty l.l. bean boots.

These boots are going on their 14th winter and feel just as good as new. Owning a pair of L.L. Bean boots feels like a right of passage when living in the mountains, or anywhere it snows, really. And for good reason. It’s like telling the Winter, “Hey Girl, I see you. I take this shit seriously. I won’t complain about my feet so keep doing your snow thing.” I remember being bummed that the regular classic pair was out of stock when I ordered these in like…2008 and looking back what a blessed bummer in disguise. This pair is LINED which offers that little extra oomph of warmth. I will tell this to anyone who asks (and also those who do not), I am always cold. Always talking about the cold, always sneezing from a chill, and always reminding everyone the obvious that is it is, in fact, cold outside. Shop Them Here!

These boots though…I don’t need to tell anyone that my feet are cold with these pups on. I’d also like to point out that the leather continues to wear and age beautifully with time – like they are so much softer than the first few seasons. I appreciate how tight and high they go above the ankle for keeping snow out. And in their heyday, like pre-covid when I used to actually get dressed up in the winter, they looked super cute with tights + dress/skirt combo. One day they will see that action again, but probs not for another season. Until then, my jeans and leggings are happy to work together with them.

Can we all give a round of applause to Adamo for his first branded blog photoshoot? Never in a million years did I think I’d ever get my partner to model with me, but he pretty much rocked it and was a great sport. He’s not too bad on the eyes either which is making my job easier. Any other brands want to showcase some men’s clothing, I’ve got a guy.
