glamping in utah.

i think the best part about living out West is that you can jump in your car, go in any direction, and end up somewhere awesome.  my girlfriends and i took a quick trip down to bear lake, utah this summer and stayed at the seriously awesome glamping ranch, Conestoga Ranch.  how sweet was our glamp set up?!

bear lake is a relatively short drive from jackson hole, and also only about an hour and a half from salt lake city, utah – for all of you coming from that direction.  the lake is famous for its turquoise green water which gives it the nickname “the caribbean of the rockies”.  a gorgeous mountain lake with views…. yeah, i’ll take it!we spent one day riding bikes, provided by the ranch, to the little teeny town next to the lake.  it brought me back to my childhood days of summers up in michigan and that nostalgia continued with the copious amounts of unhealthy foods we devoured.  “famous” and “not so famous” raspberry shakes, cheese burgers, curly frees with fry sauce, and lots and lots of diet cokes were consumed.  my egg and dairy allergies went out the window for those few days of american food bliss.  i think we ate pizza too but it was just one big fat-kid dream, so i’m not entirely sure.

mainly, we chilled and enjoyed a different part of the mountains.  to be honest, the tents were so awesome, we didn’t really want to leave them!  the restaurant at Conestoga Ranch waaaaay exceeded my expectations….and yes, more pizza was consumed.  their raspberry salad with local greens and fresh local honey was out. of. this. world.  we may or may not have requested honey by the spoonful…  okay, enough about food, here are lots of pictures from our glamping stay!

oh, AND they provide all of their guests with a campfire and s’mores every night! clearly we ate way too much good food on our weekend away, but what are girl’s trips for?!

all photography by me // thank you to Conestoga Ranch for sponsoring this post, we had such a wonderful trip!
