{one of my favorite spots in the park} |
{da bears.} |
i’ve said this before and i’ll say it again.
september is my absolute favorite month here.
we welcomed autumn with a little birthday picnic for a girlfriend yesterday in grand teton national park.
string lake is the perfect place to picnic, minus the bear encounter.
minor details.
this time of year the bears a hun-gray!
while my friends were hauling food into the bear box, i was snapping away.
this momma bear and her cub were too cute but way too close for comfort.
i think she was after those macaroons from persephone bakery.
happy autumn!
those sandwiches look very yummy. what kind of bread did you use.
This is crazy awesome! When I was in Grand Teton/Yellowstone, we really wanted to see a bear, but didn’t…then after living in Tahoe for a year and a half, I didn’t see a bear until right before we moved to Portland…so cool you got to see them up close, although this may be a little bit too close, ha! 🙂
wow those people in the background of the bear photos are pretty brave! your birthday picnic looks both pretty and appetizing!
Holy deliciousness, that spread looks amaze! not to mention the big bear crusing around. hell, I would be shocked if he hadn’t shown up. I would have come running from my house with those scents wafting around! xxoo
the sandwiches are so cute! and look delicious!
