my love affair for Lucchese cowboy boots started about 15 years ago, way before i even thought about moving to jackson hole, at a vintage shop in new york city. i can’t remember the name of the shop or where it was, but i vividly remember spotting a pair in the window, rushing in to try them on, and walking away a proud owner with zero room in my suitcase for my newest Lucchese boots. they were a size too big but i didn’t care because they were perfect. i rocked those bad boys almost every day of college and they still get a lot of lovin’ – it was love at first pair!
boots have always been my thing; the thing i can’t seem to have enough of in my closet, the thing i see as an investment to a life long collection. i was super pumped that Lucchese let me pick out a pair, because duh, i can always use another. i went with the Brittons in Grey, as seen above! to me, cowboy boots are the epitome of western style and culture, as well as a symbol of our good old US of A. therefore, i believe you can wear cowboy boots in any city, with any outfit, for any occasion. i’ve become a sort of cowboy boot connosiuer, if you will, so let me tell you that Lucchese is one of THE top makers out there.

boot tip: i take my boots to a local cobbler who adds a thin rubber sole to the bottom of them, so i can wear them all year round and not worry about slipping on ice! it’s usually pretty cheap, like $30, and helps your boots live even longer.
