this winter flew by way too quickly. while the rest of the country was all i-hate-polar-vortexes or whatever, we mountain people were reveling in the colder temps and abundance of snow.
we had so. much. snow! over 500 inches to be exact.
and yes, we are very exact when it comes to snow fall here.

i skiied a lot. like way more than any other ski season thus far. if you saw me for those last few weeks, my intense goggle tan was solid proof. seriously though, that tan should of had it’s own instagram account. maybe next season.
i realized that i took little to no actual skiing photos this year and that makes me sad. what is a mountain town blog without the action shots?! next year! next year, i promise more action shots.
what i did snap photos of were mr. michael franti when he performed at the end of the season mountain fest. that weekend is kind of like a holiday for the locals. celebrating the end to another amazing season. fun fact: franti learned to snowboard here so he’s a fan of this place. check out this video of him on the tram. i’m hoping this will be a continued series with artists. you hear me, jhmr?
i missed this by just a couple of days! all of the pictures on instagram and Facebook made me insanely jealous and sad that i had to cut my JH trip short this year!
