Dancing Spirit Ranch Whitefish Montana

My favorite silver lining to the year of Covid is getting to explore areas within driving distance to home. Road trips have been the new travel and the regional area of the Rocky Mountains has so many hidden gems. We were lucky enough to be invited to visit Dancing Spirit Ranch in Whitefish, Montana this month and it was absolutely heavenly. Whitefish has been on my bucket list ever since I moved out West and to be able to get a change of scenery during the pandemic was truly the highlight of my Winter.

Dancing Spirit Ranch can accommodate large groups, but because of the state of the world, we were the only guests there. And it was magical! We stayed in this adorable “white house” which was maybe the sweetest little bungalow ever, while we spent most of our time in between sleeps next door at the historic remodeled barn. It was the most charming gathering place for our meals, to sit by the fire with a cocktail, or explore the library and just straight chill. We were able to connect with the owners over coffee and a tour of the property and learned about their amazing family. Talk about life goals to own a ranch in the mountains!

The food was phenomenal and completely prepped for whatever our little hearts desired for the day. The chef (and yoga instructor!) basically became our best friend and made us the healthiest meals, mainly plant-based. She even taught us early morning yoga and introduced us to Golden Milk (make sure to ask for it!) We had the best time just hanging out in the barn by the fire filling up our bellies.

Snow Ghosts at Whitefish Montana Resort

Let’s talk about the skiing, mmmk? Snow Ghosts are real and they make the mountain feel like it’s straight out of a fairytale book. So, so beautiful to ski in massive powder covered forests. Whitefish Mountain Resort feels very old school, which I love, and pretty quiet compared to what we are used to. It’s a really special mountain to explore with over 3000 acres of terrain. I created a little instagram reel of our videos if you want to see it here.

If you happen to find yourself in this magical little slice of heaven, let them know I sent ya and give the owners the biggest hug for me!
